At 21 months...

you...

• Are testing, testing, testing!  (and it is NOT fun!)
• Answer "um..." when asked a question and then give your answer
• Know that daddy's name is Mark and mommy's name is Kristin
• Point out "M"s and "S"s everywhere and say "M for Mark" "S for Sophie"
• Are asserting your independence more and more and "choose" the things you want by pointing and saying "this one."
• LOVE to tell stories about things you have done
• Love to run and grab things you know you are not supposed to have and then hand it to whatever parent is not telling you "no" and say "table!" as if to get us to put it up out of your reach
• Count to ten all by yourself
• Sing your ABCs and other familiar songs like "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"
• Throw the world's biggest temper tantrums and screech like a banshee
• Like to lay down and pretend you can't get up while SCREAMING for me to come "help" you
• Are becoming less timid and more adventurous
• Still are a bit shy around new people but warm up to them quickly and then chat their ears off
• LOVE to watch Sesame Street songs on YouTube.  Current favorites: What I Am with Will.I.Am, Outdoors with Jason Miraz, Do De Rubber Duck, One Fine Face, and Things are Always Changing 
• Love to dance and "shake your booty" as you would say
• Are very particular about where things go and get very upset if our shoes are not put away. HA!
• Will grab my face with both hands to plant a kiss on my mouth
• Often scream "Drew do it!"
• Ask me to sing "sunshine" for you each night after we tuck you in
• Say "bainkick" for blanket and "ab-boss" for applesauce
• Are a little more hesitant around new dogs
• like to "peek" at things, like daddy when he is working in the garage
• "talk" on the phone often and it usually sounds like this: "Hello!  I'm coming!" (is mommy late much??)  ;)
• Give your toys hugs and kisses
• Tease Sophie by running around with her Kong Man to try to get her to chase you
• Get very angry when Sophie actually gets your Kong Man
• Won't go anywhere without your Penguin bath squirter
• Are walking down the stairs now instead of sliding on your belly backwards
• Are looking SO grown up to me!!
